Cogent : (ኮጀንት) የማስገደድ ሃይል፣ ሃቅ ነው ብለው እንዲቀበሉ የሚያስገድድ አነጋገር ወይም አጻጻፍ።
Example : Even though the plaintiff had a very cogent and compelling arguments, the defendant was acquitted.
ምሳሌ ፤ ከሳሹ ያቀረቡት ምክንያት በጣም አሳማኝ ቢሆንም እንኳ፤ ተከሳሹ በ ነጻ ተለቀቁ።
Cognitive dissonance: (ኮግ-ኒቲቭ ዲ-ሰ-ነንስ) በ ሁለት ተቃራኒ የሁኑ አስተሳሰቦች ማመን።
As a liberal Christian conservative, I am in a bit of cognitive dissonance to vote for a liberal candidate who is pro choice.
Compassionate (ኾም ፓሾኔት) ለሰው የሚያዝን ፣ ለሰው የሚራራ።

Condescend: (ኮንደሰንድ)፤ መአረግን ውይም ስልጣንን በአስመሳይነት ትቶ እራስን ዝቅ አድርጎ ማቅረብ።

ምሳሌ ፤ ስልጣኑን እና ማረጉን ዝቅ አርጎ ድሃዎችን ሲረዳ ይውል ነበር።
Example:We waited for 20 minutes before she finally condescended to appear.
ምሳሌ= መቼስ ይሁንላቸው ብላ ብቅ እስክትል ድረስ 20 ደቂቃ ያህል ጠበቅናት::
Conduit : ኮን-ዱ-ዊት ፡ አሽጋጋሪ ፡ አስተላላፊ ፤
Consequently (ኮንሲኬንትሊ) በዚህ ምክናይት የተነሳ፣
Example: His parents had made sure that he got into the best school; consequently he has made such a tremendous progress in his life.
ምሳሌ፤ ወላጆቹ ጥሩ ትምሀርት ቤት ልከው ነበር ያስተማሩት፤ በዚሀም ምክንያት በህይዎቱ ከፍኛ ደረጃ ላይ ደርስዋል።
Example: His parents had made sure that he got into the best school; consequently he has made such a tremendous progress in his life.
ምሳሌ፤ ወላጆቹ ጥሩ ትምሀርት ቤት ልከው ነበር ያስተማሩት፤ በዚሀም ምክንያት በህይዎቱ ከፍኛ ደረጃ ላይ ደርስዋል።
Construed = (ኮንስትሩድ) እንዲህ ይመስላል ብሎ መገመት፣ መተርጎም፣
Examples:
He construed my smile as assent
ፈገግታዬን አይቶ እሺ እንዳልኩት አድርጎ ወስደው ።
it could be construed to mean these items are for free.
እነዚህ እቃዎች ነጻ ናቸው ብለው ሰዎች ሊገመቱ ይችላሉ።
Contentious : አከራካሪ፤ አሟጋች ነጥቦች።
None should shy away from addressing these issues, howsoever contentious they are
ምሳሌ= እንዴትም አጨቃጫቂ ቢሆኑ እንዲህ አይነት ችግሮችን ከመፍታት ማንም መሸሽ የለበትም::
Contempt : (ኮንተምት) ንቀት፣ ግድ አለመስጠት፣
Example : You can be legally liable for showing contempt to the outlined rules and regulations.
ምሳሌ፡ የትጻፉትን ህግና ስነስረአት በመናቅህ ፤ በህግ ልትከሰስ ትችላለህ።
Conversant : (ኮንቨርሳንት)፤ አዋቂ ፣ ሊቅ፣
Example: Direct your theological questions to Abebe. He is very conversant in the subject.
ምሳሌ ፡ የ ሃይማኖት ጥያቄ ካለህ፣ አበበን ተይቀው። እሱ የ ሃይማኖት ሊቅ ነውና።
